In the future, our human descendants may view us as we view apes today, with survival of the fittest and natural selection shaping evolution. Some suggest heavy drinking to eliminate ‘dumb’ brain cells that hinder thought transmission. An intriguing aspect of linguistics is the evolutionary influence of each language on thought patterns and the mind/brain evolution. These observations reflect concerns about the ‘dumbing down’ of society and the impact of English as a first language. – Ai
So, then our human descendants in millions of years may look upon us as we look upon apes these days. Survival of the fittest is the same as natural selection? Then a lot of people need to start drinking heavily to waste away the dum brain cells, cause they GOTTA be interfering with thought transmission.
One of the more interesting facets of linguistics is that a particular result of each language is the evolutionary impact on the thought patterns that each language posseses. Essentially, the evolution of the mind/brain.
